Intro

Spirit of Caleb Ministry (SCM) has a focus of equipping and training churches and individuals in taking possession of the land that is our inheritance in the kingdom of God. This ministry has at its heart spying out the land through spiritual mapping.

Numbers 13:2 "Send out for yourself men so that they may spy (map) out the land of Canaan, which I am going to give to the sons of Israel; you shall send a man from each of their fathers' tribes, every one a leader among them."

Numbers 13: 17 When Moses sent them to spy (map) out the land of Canaan, he said to them, "Go (onsite) up there into the Negev; then go (research) up into the hill country. And see what the land (territorial spiritual condition) is like, and whether the people who live in it are strong or weak (spiritually active, inactive), whether they are few or many (united or divided body of Christ). And how is the land in which they live, is it good or bad (is the area following Gods ways or not)? And how are the cities in which they live, are they like open camps or with fortifications (strongholds of grace or iniquity)? And how is the land; is it fat or lean (financially prosperous or oppressed)? Are there trees in it or not (stewardship of the environment)? Make an effort then to get some of the fruit of the land (Spiritual fruit of relationship vs. religious habits)." Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes.

Numbers 13: 27 The spies returned with a bad report saying, "We went in to the land where you sent us; and it certainly does flow with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Nevertheless, the people who live in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; and moreover, we saw the descendants of Anak there. Amalek is living in the land of the Negev and the Hittites and the Jebusites and the Amorites are living in the hill country, and the Canaanites are living by the sea and by the side of the Jordan. We became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

Numbers 13: 30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we shall surely overcome it."

Let not this generation wander in the wilderness of indecision and doubt. It is time to move forward into our inheritance with God.

SCM releases knowledge and understanding of how to apply spiritual mapping in our contemporary society. These strategies lead to transformation, reformation, and revival in the land of our inheritance. As in the times of old there are giants in our land today. Let us take courage and have faith as Caleb once had. May God say of us “because they have a different spirit, I will lead them into the land of their inheritance.”

SCM also focuses on the release of the tools used in conjunction with spiritual mapping. These include a variety of different kinds of intercession, strategic-level spiritual warfare, identificational repentance, prayer evangelism, prophetic worship and the full release of the gifts of the Spirit.

J. Mark Rodgers and his wife Paula are cofounders of the ministry. Mr. Rodgers holds a master of ministry degree, as well as a doctorate from the Wagner Leadership Institute located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The focus of these advanced studies was prayer. Mr. Rodgers is also a marketplace minister. He is owner of J. Mark Rodgers, Architect PLLC. This architectural practice specializes in commercial building programs including church planning and design. The Rodgers were recently ordained as ministers through Encounters Network.
